Rachel is a fitness and nutrition coach who specializes in
empowering and motivating people to make legitimate wellness
changes, rather than steering them in the direction of the newest
pill or fad diet. She founded MindStrong Fitness to empower women
to make sustainable and healthy lifestyle choices that are not only
manageable and maintainable but will make people feel empowered and
unstoppable. She is the author of the recent, best-selling book
Becoming Mindstrong: The Truth About Health, Fitness, and the
Bullsh*t That’s Holding You Back in which she uses her personal
experiences and journey to guide people through achieving nutrition
success. Before Rachel became a true health and wellness goddess,
she was working as an amazing middle school music teacher and was
actually one of my students!
Rachel and I will delve into her own journey in the fitness world
and the greatest health myths perpetrated by the unhealthy fitness
sphere. We will look at some amazing passages from Rachel’s book
and the benefits of adopting the powerful outlooks on life that she
writes about. Too often, people rely too heavily on their own
willpower and motivation, rather than examining their
quintessential bodily needs. Nutrition is a learned skill, so
rather than waiting for immediate change and continuously starting
diets that never work, learn the skills needed to leave you feeling
healthy, powerful, and committed to your goals.
Key Topics
-Relying on motivation and willpower is bullsh*t
-Fitness, like any goal or dream, is a process. One mistake does
not mean you should give up
-Your body doesn’t lie, but your mind will screw you over
-Breathing exercise to find your basic bodily needs
-Forgetting reliance on ‘massive life overhauls’
-Diets do not work, it is not you, it’s the system
